Xylem Structure Simulation Engineer in Bangalore, India
India Technology Center - Chennai campus seeks to hire a structural engineer to simulate the civil structure and its accessories comprised of water treatment plants. The position involves playing a key role in advancing Evoqua/Xylem water treatment technology capabilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for product design simulation and optimization of comprehensive system solution which fits for purpose. Essential Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible to perform structural analysis for water and wastewater products and steel structures; not limited to static, dynamic, linear, nonlinear, seismic etc.,
Design anchor bolts of equipment, tanks, vessels, and skids
Supports simulation driven product designing, optimization, and qualification
Independent co-ordination with counterpart & execution of simulation projects for various engineering purposes
Handle end-to-end execution including analytical calculation, product conceptualization, qualification, and optimization
Timely submission of calculations and design reports
Communicate & delegate the work across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
Follow the industry wide values, ethics & compliance policies
Willing to travel occasionally at local/global site
Communication with cross-functional/regional teams
Qualifications:
Full time M.Tech. (Structural Design) or B.Tech (Civil) qualification
3-5 years of core structural simulation experience with reputed industry
Essential Competencies:
Steel structural design experience, with good understanding of the LRFD and ASD methods
Knowledge of ASCE 7-10 and ASCE 7-16 load cases and combinations
Knowledge in connection design and anchorage evaluations
Experience with analytical calculations using design sheets for loadings and structural member designs
Good understanding of Limit States, failure modes of steel structures and ability to interpret analytical report output from structural design software
Work experience with STAAD, Autodesk Robot Structural or equivalent is preferred

Adaptability to work for cross-functional/culture and time zones
