Xylem Assembler 1st Class 2nd Shift in Cheektowaga, New York
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Receive instructions, prints and/or work orders.
Plan and perform a wide variety of assemblyoperations.
Maintain close tolerance and alignment.
Rigand operate department crane to handle, move and position parts and/or units.
Perform work requiringa thoroughknowledgeofpractice and techniques principleof application andoperationof various types ofequipment, tools, fixtures and instruments , and the abilityto planand execute difficult to work. ยท
Lubricate and clean equipment daily.
Observe all Safety and Shop Rules .
Assist and/or train new employees in job classification .
Each personis responsible for the quality of work and inspectionof work with gauges to insure that product or pieces made are to the specifications or work orderwithoutdeviation.
Planand perform gasket cutting operations.
Perform work requiring the application of adhesive and gasketing all Heat Exchangers as required.
$22.27/hour
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
High School Degree or GED
Must have 1 year of manufacturing assembly experience
Pass a written test
Physical Demands:
Lifting (30-35 lbs.), manufacturing floor environment
Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facility.
Regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees on a daily basis.
