The Senior Manager for Endpoint Management role is a global position focused on building stable, high-performing, and secure tooling and scripts to automate and improve the end-user experience. Operating under a least privilege security model, this role works closely with CyberSecurity to find innovative solutions that meet business requirements without raising Xylem’s risk profile. This Senior Manager is responsible for all aspects of end user device management including OS upgrades and patching, application deployments, policy creation and management, and ensuring all security tools are installed and functioning. This role requires architect level technical expertise in designing, managing, and expanding modern endpoint management in a Microsoft 365 environment, exceptional leadership skills, and a drive to identify opportunities for improvement and automation while meeting our security and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers supporting endpoint management and all included services.
Develop roadmap and production deployment plan for workstation OS lifecycle management including the use of modern technologies such as Autopilot, DaaS, and Azure VMs.
Architect, build, and manage modern software distribution mechanisms such as MECM and Software Center
Take full ownership of Xylem’s endpoint patching solution with a view towards expanding capabilities to cover growing threats.
Administer and operate all aspects of the CyberArk EPM tool including agent deployments and updates, management of all policies, and handling requests for new software elevations.
Legacy and modern workstation policy management including migration from on-prem (GPOs) to cloud (Intune).
Own and administer the Beyond Trust Remote Support environment used by the Service Desk and SD Level 2 support teams.
Service Owner for MS Intune, MS BitLocker, and M365 Productivity suite
Develop exception reporting, scripts, and other tools to aid in data accuracy and removal of stale records from supporting systems.
Partner with Sr. Manager, IT Asset and Compliance Management to develop and improve hardware and software asset management processes.
Conduct required data compilation, analysis, and reporting to comply with all internal and external audit reviews.
Evangelize and enforce the Incident, Request, Change and Escalation processes, ensuring high levels of performance in these processes, accurate reporting, and establishment of service improvement activities when required.
Partner with the Major Incident Management team during critical incidents to ensure coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders, and post incident review.
Participate in and lead IT projects ensuring efficient utilization of resources and equipment.
Make recommendations for service improvements and ensure actions are followed through to completion in a timely manner.
Define, measure, and report KPIs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as requested or required.
Develop reports and processes to proactively assess the current state of the environment.
Comply with all eDiscovery requests from Xylem Legal team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or other related focus area
Minimum of 5 years in management roles required
Experience with Active Directory, Azure and M365 required.
Expert knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including Windows 11+ Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Ability to interact with colleagues of varying levels of technological understanding.
Experience managing a virtual team across multiple timezones.
Effective English written and oral communication skills
Excellent customer facing/customer service skills
