  • Ensure meticulous adherence to Maharashtra's legal statutes and regulations concerning safety across heavy engineering and construction projects in Mumbai.

  • Formulate, deploy, and rigorously enforce comprehensive safety policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with local legislations and industry benchmarks.

  • Conduct systematic and thorough safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to pinpoint potential hazards and swiftly implement corrective measures.

  • Deliver comprehensive safety training and awareness initiatives to all project personnel, including contractors and subcontractors, fostering an ethos of safety excellence.

  • Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, devising robust strategies to mitigate the likelihood of recurrence.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to seamlessly integrate safety considerations into all aspects of project planning and execution.

  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation pertaining to safety activities, incidents, and compliance endeavors.

  • Remain abreast of evolving safety regulations, cutting-edge technologies, and best practices to continually enhance safety performance onsite.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries, concerns, and emergencies, facilitating seamless communication among all stakeholders.

  • Cultivate a proactive safety culture by actively encouraging hazard reporting, participation in safety initiatives, and a commitment to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Must possess excellent training abilities, particularly in the realm of industrial safety.

  • Conduct daily Gemba walks to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors, implementing risk mitigation programs promptly.

  • Possess expertise in safe material handling practices and oversee the approval of critical lifting plans.

  • Highly proficient in ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards, as well as possessing a strong understanding of ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
