The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Team Lead to join our Testing team on our first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) As a member of our, you will be responsible for receiving and stocking inventory, pulling orders for both pump and parts orders, parts identification, assembling parts orders, and final packaging for shipment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that productivity goals are met. In addition, the successful candidate will be comfortable and productive working at times under minimal supervision. Previous experience using computer programs to manage shipping and receiving transactions as well as inventory records is essential for this position.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Parts order assembly

  • Receiving and stocking inventory

  • Packaging and shipment of pump and parts orders

  • Creating wooden pallets and other packaging materials for shipping

  • Driving fork-truck and other material handling equipment (more than 50% of the day)

  • Adhere to company safety practices and processes

  • Participate in shop floor safety and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Strong attention to detail; must be able to complete transactions with high degree of precision and accuracy

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fork-lift experience is a strong plus for this role; we will provide certification

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

  • Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull and move about the facility

  • Work with material handling equipment, hand tools (saws, drills, hammers), and daily exposure to shop elements

  • Walk or stand at least 8+ hours per day

  • Ability to work overtime occasionally, as needed (evenings and/or weekends)

SALARY:  Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as endorsements, construction skills, experience and work location, $22.00 – 26.00 per hour.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.

Salary range:

$45,000.00 - $72,000.00
