THE ROLE : The Procurement Director will be responsible for the vendor management process across the different business units. In this role, the incumbent will also Direct and coordinate activities, forecasting, and performance of all vendors and provide leadership in the standardization of purchasing, contracting, service delivery and solutions for the organization. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Directs and mangers the Services Americas (NA) Sourcing Team

  • Facilitates collaboration between Xylem Global Procurement (XGP) and service sites, including production plants, service branches, and Assessment Services.

  • Directly responsible for the performance and results of all vendor and partner operations to support inventory reduction programs, maximizing availability of purchased parts to meet end product lead times, OTD targets, and saving goals.

  • Maintain Strategic Vendor alignment with Operations (in all NA regions) and Global Procurement goals and initiatives.

  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strategically develop, implement, and optimize vendor management processes, contracts, tools and policies to achieve performance objectives while mitigating vendor risk.

  • Oversee monitoring of vendor performance against contractual obligations to ensure overall effectiveness of vendor provided services with the utilization of vendor performance dashboards, scorecards and/or reports.

  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities that benefit the business.

  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models.

  • Review and approve a comprehensive list of suppliers for bid processes developed by analyzing the industry to understand trends and competitive positioning in order to ensure system activation of the best possible supply base.

  • Manage all contract negotiations and relationship management for all key vendor relationships, including defining service level agreements and renegotiate, renew and discontinue supplier contracts.

  • Identifies internal customer requirements for new product development phases and serial production; collaborates with internal stakeholders and customers to drive procurement value and customer satisfaction.

  • Conducts periodic visits to supplier work locations to evaluate vendor performance.

  • Organize and lead Supplier business reviews, Internal Sourcing strategy sessions and Internal Market reviews

  • Own and control spend for all 3rd party direct and indirect purchases.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all Sourcing activity.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or other relevant field

  • 12 years of industry experience in Supply Chain Management in an outsourced environment preferred.

  • Managed at least $350M USD in annualized spend at multiple operations and manufacturing locations.

  • Demonstrated commodity management expertise.

  • Experience managing contracts manufacturers and electronic suppliers

  • Proven negotiation and facilitation skills

DAY IN THE LIFE : In this role, the working environment is office based. In addition, this role may require up to 50% domestic travel and 10% international travel.

SALARY : . The estimated salary range for this position is $xxxx to $xxxx plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. $118,500.00 - $213,500.00
