Xylem External Sales Representative in Richards Bay, South Africa

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Seek, identify and prioritize potential distributors.

  • Negotiate market segment and / or areas of potential distributors.

  • Advice and drive appointed distributors’ stock holding and marketing campaigns.

  • When running marketing campaigns with distributors, ensure adequate stock levels to support these campaigns.

  • Provide sound technical advice and application support to customers and distributors.

  • Presentations to customers, distributors, consultants and internal staff on product and application information.

  • Assist with design of pumping systems, pump stations and other water handling scenarios.

  • Conduct fault finding and pump audits.

  • Ensure quotations and / or offers get communicated efficiently to customers and distributors.

  • Expedite client’s pumps and spares orders.

  • Provide accurate, relevant and up to date market and sales information.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed Grade 12 / Matric Equivalent.

  • National Diploma (N6) / Technical Qualification or Certification in Client Service or Marketing will be advantageous.

  • Minimum 3-5 years technical sales experience within similar industry.

  • Sound knowledge in fluid based technologies.

  • Sound knowledge of applications and working of various pumps.

  • General knowledge of the pumping industry is important and advantageous.

  • Intermediate Computer Skills (MS Office).

  • Strong customer facing and negotiation skills.

  • Good people and communication skills with good presentation skills.

  • Strong customer relations orientated with good problem solving abilities.

  • Must be self driven and motivated with ability to prioritize and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work against tight deadlines to achieve results.

  • Must be able to adapt to the demands of a ever changing environment.

  • 100% commitment and focused towards professional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Must have valid drivers licence, with ability to travel local and nationally.

  • The role will be based in KwaZulu Natal. Preference will be given to candidates in this region.
