Position Summary

We are currently hiring for an operations director for our Rockford IL manufacturing facility making a variety of resin products. This role is responsible for chemical processing operation and supporting analytical lab. The plant operates two shifts, Monday – Friday with weekends and overtime as demand requires. Key responsibilities include safety and environmental compliance, interface with sales, purchasing and other operational teams, and managing facility teams to provide quality products on time.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provide leadership and setting strategy, KPIs, and deliverables for continuous improvement within the areas of safety, environmental, customer experience/quality, production, reliability and profitability.

  • Lead, foster and role model a safety first culture with high level of employee engagement.

  • Ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance for all site activities, including ISO and QMS systems.

  • Work across all functions to ensure smooth site operations from sales orders through production to order fulfillment.

  • Communicate and coordinate with sales / commercial teams and planning teams to ensure site operations and resources are aligned with overall business and customer needs.

  • Responsible for financial performance of the plant and site operations to meet financial goals and business needs. Develop annual budget and operating plan, regular financial reviews and metric reviews including corrective action plans when needed.

  • Identify and prepare capital project needs for the facility in conjunction with the engineering team.

  • Identity and implement ongoing continuous improvement actions throughout the site to ensure efficient and effective overall operations.

  • Lead monthly site operations review of financial results and metrics to senior leadership

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION:

  • Required: BS Degree in relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, etc)

  • Preferred: MBA

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Minimum 10 years of plant and/or regional leadership roles

  • Previous experience in fabrication/weld shop

Additional Details

Travel Requirements - 10%

Target Salary Range - $150,00-170,000

Salary range:

$118,500.00 - $213,500.00
